Te Ata, the dawn, is a sacred moment in the Māori creation story—the transition from darkness to light, from potential to action. It symbolises awakening, growth, and new beginnings.

At Te Ata Wharekawa, we honour this meaning by creating transformative learning experiences that help rangatahi step into their potential. Situated beside the Wharekawa Harbour, tucked in beneath Maungaruawahine, is our campus - Wharekawa Lodge. Our programs carry forward a deep legacy of learning, connection, and belonging.
